Police Rescue Stranded Sailboater: Fairfield PD
A flipped sailboat left a person in need of help this weekend in Fairfield, according to police.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield police conducted a water rescue Saturday, authorities said.
The incident occurred about 4:40 p.m. when a flipped sailboat was reported near St. Mary's by the Sea, according to police, who found an upside down catamaran and one person in the water with a flotation device, about 300 feet from the rocks off St. Mary's.
Police escorted the person back to the beach, authorities said.
