Police Seize 'Ghost Gun' & Ecstasy During Fairfield Traffic Stop
The suspect was pulled over on Carthage Street in Fairfield, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 20-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on weapons and narcotics charges in Fairfield Wednesday, after police said a "ghost gun" and several grams of Ecstasy were found in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Edgar Sanchez III was pulled over on Carthage Street in Fairfield for undisclosed, alleged motor vehicle violations.
While investigating the incident, police found a "loaded un-serialized firearm" in Sanchez's possession, in addition to the Ecstasy. Such weapons are referred to as "ghost guns," because they are difficult to trace.

Sanchez was taken into custody and charged with the following:
- Carrying a Pistol without a Permit
- Weapons in a Motor Vehicle
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Sale of Narcotics
- Several undisclosed motor vehicle violations
He was released after posting bond on bail of $30,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in
Bridgeport Superior Court on Sept. 30.
