FAIRFIELD, CT — Two longtime jewelry stores in Fairfield are in the final days of their going-out-of-business sales. Shaw Jewelers, located at 525 Tunxis Hill Cut Off, recently announced that it is closing its doors for good after 75 years in business.

“The days are winding down until Christmas so come in and take advantage of our BIG GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE!,” Shaw Jewelers wrote in a post on Facebook earlier this week. “All merchandise is deeply discounted because EVERYTHING MUST GO! No reasonable offer refused!” The sale ends Dec. 31, according to the post.

J. Albert Johnson Jewelers also announced last month that it would be closing its doors forever after more than 100 years in business. Current owners David and Judy Kiselstein said at the time that they decided it's the right time to retire and close the family business. J. Albert Johnson Jewelers, which was established in 1915, is located at 1957 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.
