Possum Steals Package From Fairfield Home: Report

FAIRFIELD, CT — With the holidays approaching, it’s a time for online shoppers to be extra wary of porch pirates, but one Fairfield woman recently had a package stolen in a most unexpected way, NBC CT reported.

Video published by NBC shows a possum at Betsy Lockhart’s door Monday night, approaching a delivery of hoop earrings Lockhart purchased on Amazon and trotting off with the package. A search of Lockhart’s yard showed no sign of the earrings, according to NBC, which reported Lockhart had previously recorded the possum Sunday on her home security camera.
