Proposed Unquowa Road Apartment Complex Under Appeal After Denial
The developers of the proposed 63-unit complex reportedly have appealed its denial in state Superior Court.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The developers of the proposed 63-unit apartment complex on Unquowa Road have appealed to the state Superior Court to reverse its recent denial by the Fairfield Plan and Zoning Commission, reported the Fairfield Citizen.
Filed as an 8-30g project, the proposal was set to offer several of its units as affordable housing, but the commission turned down the plan over drainage and density concerns.
Several residents and town officials opposed the plan, and launched a petition against it, which likely helped to persuade the commission to vote it down.
