Remembering Meat Loaf, A Former Fairfield Resident
The singer, who died last week, spent many years in Connecticut, including at a residence in Fairfield, according to CT Insider.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The world lost a rock icon last week, and Fairfield lost a former resident, when Michael Aday, better known as Meat Loaf, died at the age of 74, CT Insider reported.
Meat Loaf spent many years in Connecticut, living on Fairfield’s Beach Road, as well as in Redding and Stamford, according to CT Insider. The “Bat Out of Hell” singer also coached and sponsored Little League baseball teams in Stamford, and coached Westport Pony League softball, according to CT Insider, which cited Sports Illustrated and added that Meat Loaf was also a coach at Joel Barlow High School in Redding when his daughter was a student there.
The actor and singer, who died Thursday, also played in a Westport charity baseball game for Paul Newman’s Connecticut-based Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for seriously ill children, CT Insider reported.
