Restaurant Burglarized Near Fairfield-Bridgeport Line: Police

Police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who burglarized a Bridgeport business and was last seen walking into Fairfield.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police are seeking the public’s help to find a man who burglarized a restaurant near the Fairfield-Bridgeport town line.

The burglary occurred about 11:30 p.m. July 26 at Mr. Crab Seafood & Bar, according to Bridgeport police. The restaurant is located at 3488 Fairfield Ave. in the Black Rock neighborhood of Bridgeport, just a few steps from the Fairfield border.

The burglar threw a brick through one of the bar windows and stole a cash drawer containing a large amount of money, police said. The man was last seen walking into Fairfield.

Police provided a surveillance image of the thief and are asking anyone who recognizes the man to contact Detective Todd Hoben at 203-581-5247 or Todd.Hoben@Bridgeportct.gov.
