Restaurant Closes In Fairfield Center; To Be Replaced By Pizzeria

The incoming eatery will specialize in thin crust pizza and sliced meats, and will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week.

FAIRFIELD, CT — One Fairfield pizzeria recently closed, but another is set to replace it.

Neapolitan-style pizza restaurant Brick + Wood announced Wednesday that after seven years in business, it was no longer open.

“Our time has come to an end here,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post. “We look forward to seeing you all again and until then … remember to love life and pizza.”

The previous evening, RGR Hospitality LLC was given unanimous approval by the Town Plan and Zoning Commission to take over the former Intrigue Salon location in the Brick Walk to accommodate a larger eatery named Sophie’s. The restaurant is set to be in the old Brick + Wood and Intrigue sites at 1275 Post Road.

RGR also owns and operates Molto, Malibu and Sinclair.
