Road Closed This Week In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — Cornell Road will be closed to through traffic during daytime hours until Sunday, according to an advisory from the town of Fairfield. The closure began Monday and is in effect 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily to ensure security and accommodate pedestrian traffic for the USGA Senior Women's Open, which is being held at Brooklawn Country Club. Only residents of Cornell Road, White Oak Road and Westbrook Place are allowed to enter Cornell Road during the closure.
