Rob Blanchard a State Senate Candidate with Fresh Perspective

As a candidate for State Senate in the 28th district, Rob Blanchard brings a fresh perspective paired with unwavering compassion—qualities in elected leaders that have become rare, but increasingly more urgent. As a person of great integrity, an action-oriented leader, and a unifying force, Rob has emerged as the clear choice for our district. More than a candidate fueled by ego, Rob’s a doer, a convener, an advocate for the betterment of our community, and a genuinely nice person.

As a proud and active Jew, I’ve been personally moved by Rob’s kindness, compassion, and commitment to the Jewish community in Fairfield. Rob has been a consistent participant in the “Run for Their Lives Weekly Walks,” honoring victims of the Hamas terrorist attack against Jews last October. Unlike some politicians who only seem to show up for a photo opportunity, Rob’s allyship isn’t performative. Having personally experienced the unsettling rise of anti-Semitism in our community, Rob’s focus and resolve that our community’s voice is heard with boldness and compassion is exactly what we need in our elected leaders. He’s dedicated to fighting against all forms of hate: whether it’s anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism, homophobia, or misogyny Rob intends to foster a more inclusive, safer society.

Rob’s readiness to make schools more inclusive (something he’s been advocating for well before he became a father) and his readiness to protect our communities from hate crimes and counteract misinformation demonstrates that he’s attuned to the real challenges we face.

As we look ahead, we need a leader like Rob Blanchard. Rob represents the kind of change that can help us heal our divides and move us forward; he is the future we deserve—one grounded in integrity, action, and a commitment to every member of our community.
