Route 136 To Close Later This Week

The road is being closed for the removal of large trees in danger of falling during a storm.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Route 136 will be closed later this week. The closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday between Sturges Highway and Redding Road, according to a post on Twitter from the Fairfield Police Department. The road is being closed for the removal of large trees in danger of falling during a storm. Detour signs and officers will be in place. Catamount Road is an alternate route.
