FAIRFIELD, CT — A former Sacred Heart University student recently turned himself in to police after he was accused of sexually assaulting a fellow student and sharing a nude photograph of her online, according to law enforcement.

The victim told police that in the early morning hours of Oct. 6, Nicholas Otto-Bernstein had sex with her without her consent while she was intoxicated, according to information provided by Bridgeport police. In addition, a nude photo of the victim, taken without her consent, was circulated on Snapchat, she told police.

Investigators determined Otto-Bernstein took the photo and shared it with other students, but did not have probable cause to charge him with sexual assault, police said. Otto-Bernstein was charged with voyeurism, unlawful dissemination of an intimate image and dissemination of voyeuristic material, according to police.
