FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfielders who want fresh seafood and pastry in the same place can find it at Blue + Berries, which opened about a month ago in Fairfield.
The seafood market and bakery is located at 2205 Black Rock Turnpike in a space previously occupied by Einstein Bros. Bagels. Blue + Berries held its grand opening Nov. 24, according to the business’s Facebook page, and since then it has been providing customers with a unique mix of fresh and prepared seafood as well as sweet treats.
Offerings include live lobster, sushi and takeout such as fish and chips, crab cakes and a lobster dinner. Pastries range from classics like donuts and scones to a croissant-waffle hybrid called a croffle, and even include elaborately decorated birthday cakes. The business also sells Korean snacks.
