Serious Accident Now Cleared In Fairfield: UPDATE

UPDATE: As of 8 p.m. the accident has been cleared though some delays are still possible, Fairfield Police say.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Police have issued a traffic alert for Kings Highway at Black Rock Turnpike.

From police:

TRAFFIC ALERT: Kings Highway at Black Rock Turnpike at the I-95 Exit 24 exit ramp near Staples Plaza is CLOSED due to the investigation of a serious motor vehicle accident. There are heavy delays in the area. Plan an alternate route.
