Settlement Reached In Crash That Killed Fairfield Tow Truck Operator

Corey Iodice was killed when an intoxicated driver struck him on the Merritt Parkway in Trumbull in 2020.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A settlement has been reached between a Weston man, who struck and killed a Fairfield tow truck operator in 2020, and the victim's family, The Hour reported.

Dean Robert will pay the family of Corey Iodice, 58, $1.5 million for killing Iodice in a crash on the Merritt Parkway in Trumbull. Iodice was loading a disabled vehicle on a flatbed tow truck when Robert crashed into him.

Robert pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence and related charges, and is in the midst of serving a four-year prison sentence.
