An ice storm has caused numerous issues on local roads.
UPDATE: FAIRFIELD SCHOOLS CLOSED: Due to continuing icing conditions and safety issues Fairfield Public Schools will be closed today, January 5, 2022, police said in an 8:30 a.m. update. (This is an update on the earlier status).

ICY ROAD CONDITIONS: Use extreme caution traveling on roadways at this time due to icy conditions. Several crashes have been reported. Stay off roads if possible to allow DPW/DOT to treat road surfaces.
