Shoplifters Flee Fairfield Store, Almost Hitting 3 Cars: Police
A Cadillac came close to striking three vehicles before speeding away on Interstate 95, Fairfield police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Shoplifters recently fled a Fairfield store, nearly striking three vehicles as they sped to the interstate, police said.
The incident occurred about 3:15 p.m. Saturday at Bob’s Stores, 889 Post Road, according to police. Two men stole $800 worth of jeans — setting off the store alarm — and fled to South Benson Road in a black Cadillac, police said.
The Cadillac almost hit three vehicles at Post and Benson roads before entering northbound Interstate 95, according to police, who located the fleeing vehicle but were unable to get a plate number. The case remains under investigation.

Just two days later, a man and woman stole a $170 pair of Timberland boots and Addidas clothing from the same store about 6 p.m., heading toward Bridgeport on the Post Road in a silver Audi with tinted windows and the registration number 1060631, according to police.
