Some Fairfield Games Canceled; Up To 6 Inches Snow Possible

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Public Schools will close 1 p.m. Saturday due to projected wintry weather and all youth basketball games set to start at 1 p.m. or later will be canceled, according to Fairfield Parks and Recreation.

Snow is expected to start falling around noon, with up to 6 inches possible throughout the afternoon and evening before it turns to rain overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The area is under a winter weather advisory from 10 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday.
