Southport Ranked No. 2 Best Place To Live In CT

FAIRFIELD, CT — Southport was recently named the second-best place to live in Connecticut.

Website Niche ranked the Fairfield neighborhood the No. 2 place in the state to live for 2022, with West Hartford ranked No. 1 and Weatogue ranked No. 3.

Niche creates its annual rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and CDC, combined with millions of resident reviews. The company considers factors such as affordability, housing market, diversity, public schools, walkability and more.

Southport received an A+ for its public schools, family suitability, and health and fitness offerings, but got a B- in cost of living and a C+ in diversity, according to Niche.

The town of Fairfield as a whole was named the 11th best place in Connecticut to live by Niche, ranked between Ridgefield and Cos Cob. Fairfield was given an A+ for family suitability, health and fitness offerings, and outdoor activities, but received a B- for crime and safety as well as for housing, and a C for cost of living.
