Suspect Accused Of Fraudulent Credit Card Purchases At Fairfield Toy Store: Police
The suspect and an accomplice are accused of making more than $1,200 worth of fraudulent purchases at the Black Rock Turnpike store.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 29-year-old Jamaica, New York man was arrested on a warrant this month in connection with fraudulent credit card purchases totaling more than $1,200 last summer at the Bricks and Minifigs store on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, according to authorities.
Alexander Reyes is one of two suspects accused of the Aug. 10 crime, Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch.
"The other individual involved in the investigation has been identified, and an arrest warrant for that individual has been approved," Wellington said.

Reyes was charged with the following:
- Larceny in the Fourth Degree
- Illegal Use of a Payment Card
- Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the Fourth Degree
- Conspiracy to Commit Illegal Use of a Payment Card
- Conspiracy to Receive Goods or Services by Illegal Use of a Payment Card
On the 10th, store staff alerted police that the two had made $1,248.91 worth of purchases, which were determined to be fraudulent and were cancelled.

"Through investigation, including review of surveillance footage and coordination with multiple law enforcement agencies, officers identified two individuals involved," Wellington said.
Reyes was taken into custody on Feb. 3, and was released after posting bond on bail of $25,000. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on March 4.
The arrest of the second suspect is pending.
