The break-ins remain under investigation.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 16-year-old boy is charged after he gave an officer a fake name Thursday while being questioned about car break-ins, according to law enforcement.
The teen was questioned after police were called about 2 a.m. to Toilsome Hill Road and Prospect Avenue and spoke to a man who said he awoke to find two people rummaging through his neighbor’s car, according to a police department news release.
The vehicle’s interior light was on and it looked as though the car had been rifled through. The man told officers the suspects were wearing dark clothing and fled on foot when they saw him. While searching the area, police found another vehicle that had been rifled through and had its interior light on, the news release said.
