Thanksgiving Closures In Fairfield: Know Before You Go

FAIRFIELD, CT — Several Fairfield services will be closed or unavailable over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Town offices will be closed for non-essential services Thursday and Friday. The transfer station will be closed Thursday. Fairfield's main and branch libraries will not be open Thursday and Friday, and the Pequot Library will be closed Thursday and Friday for library services, although it will be open Friday for a book sale, according to library staff.

Fairfield schools will have an early dismissal Wednesday and no school Thursday or Friday.

There will be no leaf collection Thanksgiving week. The final week of pickup is the week of Dec. 2. Since there is no specific pickup day for a particular street or neighborhood, bags must be curbside by 6 a.m. Dec. 2 to ensure pickup.
