Tow Truck Driver Faces DUI, Drug Charges While Towing in Fairfield
Police received calls from two people, including the owner of the car being towed, out of concern for how the truck was being operated.

Fairfield, CT — A 24-year-old tow truck driver from Danbury faces several charges after Fairfield Police say he was operating under the influence while on the job Sunday evening, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports the owner of the car Matthew Mortara was hauling was one of two drivers to call police out of concern of how the tow truck was being operated.
When police stopped the Federal Towing wrecker, officers found folds of heroin, strips of suboxone, and straws with a white powder residue and Mortara failed field sobriety tests, according to the Citizen.
