Town Buildings Burglarized: Fairfield Police
A maintenance building, two sheds and a town vehicle were recently broken into, according to Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Several public works buildings were recently burglarized in Fairfield, according to police.
The incident occurred about 6:15 a.m. Feb. 2, when a maintenance building, two sheds and a town vehicle were broken into in the 300 block of Hoydens Lane, police said. Multiple chainsaws and pole saws were stolen, and someone appeared to have rummaged through the garage, according to police.
Two homes were also burglarized in recent days, police said. A house was entered through a broken basement window Feb. 4 on Brookbend Road, according to police, who said multiple rooms were rummaged through, with an unknown amount of items stolen.

Another residence was burglarized Feb. 7 on Valley Road, according to police, who said pry marks were found on a glass door and double-paned glass was shattered, although nothing in the home was missing or disturbed.
