Truck Accident Reported On I-95 In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — State officials reported a truck accident Friday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Fairfield. The incident was reported about 3:30 p.m. and involved a box truck on the northbound side of the roadway between Exit 19 and Exit 21, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The right and center lanes were closed following the crash and traffic was congested between Exit 6 and Exit 21 — roughly 17 miles — as of about 4 p.m., according to the department. The scene was cleared as of about 4:30 p.m., the department reported.
