Two Charged after Fight at Seagrape Cafe

Two men were charged with disorderly conduct after they allegedly got into a physical fight at early Sunday, police said.

Thaddeus Bogardus, 23, of Redding and Tassos Recachinas, 29, of Brookfield Avenue in Fairfield, were reportedly arguing about one being served more alcohol than the other, according to the report.

Both men were released on a promise to appear in court on July 13.

A Westport woman was charged with sixth-degree larceny Sunday after she allegedly attempted to shoplift $158 worth of merchandise from the on Kings Highway Cut Off.

Eleanor Tsurdinis, 58, of Maple Avenue South in Westport, was observed by loss prevention employees filling green bags with groceries and placing a book in her purse, police said.

According to the report, Tsurdinis did not use a price scanner and walked past the registers without paying.

She was released on a promise to appear in court on July 9.
