Vehicle Hits Fairfield Police Car, 2 Injured
The officer was on her way to respond to the scene of an accident, when she was struck by another vehicle, according to police.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield police officer and a second driver were injured in a car crash Tuesday afternoon, according to Capt. Robert Kalamaras. The officer was driving west on Post Road, on her way to respond to the scene of an accident, when she was struck by another vehicle outside Pronto in downtown Fairfield, Kalamaras said in an email. The officer was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center with minor injuries, according to Kalamaras, and the other driver was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for a minor hand injury.
