Vehicles Towed, Ticketed For Parking Violations In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Police are reminding residents that vehicles will be towed if they are blocking a fire hydrant. Several vehicles were recently ticketed, and one towed, for parking violations on Mill Plain Road near Browns Lane.

“One vehicle was found to be blocking a fire hydrant preventing the fire department from being able to access and utilize it,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The vehicle blocking the hydrant was issued a parking ticket and towed. In total, eight vehicles were issued town parking tickets.”

If the ticket is not paid or appealed within the designated time, you are subsequently issued a state parking infraction. Failure to pay or plea on the state infraction results in an arrest warrant being issued for the registered owner of the vehicle.
