Warde's Gavey, DeBarros Named To All-FCIAC First Team In Boys Soccer
Mustangs lost to Staples in FCIAC title game, then reach state quarterfinals for first time in the program's history

Two players from the Fairfield Warde boys' soccer squad - defender Connor Gavey and midfielder Oliver DeBarros - have been named to the all-FCIAC first team.
Gavey scored the overtime winner in Warde's 1-0 victory over Wethersfield that propeled the Mustangs into the quarterfinals of the CIAC Class L state tournament for the first time in the program's history.
Warde finished the season 14-5-3, losing to Watertown 2-1 on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals. The Mustangs also reached the FCIAC finals for the first time, falling 2-1 to defending three-time league champion Staples.
