Weather Impacts Fairfield Football Schedule

With inclement weather in the forecast, tonight’s Wilton at Fairfield Warde and Notre Dame-Fairfield at Bethel football games have been postponed.

Wilton and Fairfield Warde will play Saturday at 10 a.m. in Fairfield, while Notre Dame will play at Bethel at 7 p.m.

Friday night’s Cheshire at Fairfield Prep game was still on as of 4 p.m. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Fairfield Ludlowe is off this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Fairfield County as “thunderstorms ahead of a cold front late this afternoon and early this evening could produce an isolated damaging wind gust or two.”

Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 5 p.m. and could continue until 9 p.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is predicted, the National Weather Service states. Lingering showers will end after midnight.
