CONNECTICUT — It's looking more and more likely that there will be some snow this weekend with snow expected to begin Sunday morning, right after 8 a.m. before it turns to a mix precipitation and then possibly rain, especially on the coast.

It's impossible to estimate how much snow we may receive but it may impact travel plans. Sunday is shaping up to be a real mess whether you're traveling or not.

The precipitation is expected to taper off late Sunday into early Monday.

The National Weather Service says, "A windy day is expected as an area of low pressure moves to the east. Winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, along with gusts of 35 to 45 mph through the day. Clouds will mix with sun this morning, and temperatures will rise a few degrees, peaking around 50 degrees. Gusty northwest winds will prevail today, making it feel cooler.

More sunshine is expected later this afternoon as clouds slowly scour out. High pressure is expected to build tonight through Saturday, resulting in dry but cool conditions. Temperatures during this time will average a few degrees below normal. The next storm system will impact the area by Sunday."
