Woman Embezzled $65K From Medical Groups: Fairfield Police

The former employee was arrested on a warrant this week.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Shelton woman is accused of embezzling more than $65,000 from two local medical groups, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Eileen Johnson, 50, of Shelton, was arrested on a warrant this week in connection to thefts from Beach Road Orthopedic Specialists and Fairfield Medical Center. The combined money stolen from the groups totaled $65,200 over several years.

Johnson worked as a practice manager at Beach Road Orthopedic Specialists and was responsible for cashing checks, making deposits and making electronic payments, according to the Post.
