Woman Stabbed Outside Restaurant: Fairfield Police

The victim is an employee of the restaurant, according to police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A woman was stabbed outside of a restaurant where she worked Sunday night in Southport, according to police. Fairfield Police responded to 96 Station St. on the report of an assault. The victim, an employee of Paci Restaurant, told police that she was taking the garbage out to the dumpster when she was grabbed from behind, according to Capt. Robert Kalamaras.

“During her struggle to try to get away from the unknown male, he struck her several times in the face and then stabbed her with an unknown object in the abdomen,” Kalamaras wrote in a press release. “The suspect then fled the scene westbound towards the parking lot. A K9 track from the scene yielded no results. The victim is currently in stable condition.”

The suspect was described by the victim as a tall white male wearing a black hat, a scarf, and a black jacket. The victim did not recognize the suspect as someone she knew, according to Kalamaras.

Kalamaras said detectives are currently gathering surveillance footage from the area and interviewing possible witnesses to the crime.
