Dear wine lovers;
2012 the "perfect" season in California, the delightfully warm, sun-filled 2012 growing season that Chuck Wagner at Caymus called a "watershed vintage" for Napa Valley, a rare combination of quality fruit and an plentiful crop load. Growers and winemakers across Napa Valley are expressing high expectations for a classic year that will create blockbuster wines. This exceptional vintage sets the conditions for this series as it takes spectators into 3 renowned wineries. Stags Leap's top wineries Shafer Hillside Select (96-100 points), Bevan Vineyard 6110 (98-100 points), Hall (94-98 points), and Odette Reserve (95-98 points) turned out some of their richest, most polished Cabernets in decades. All will fetch $150-$400/bottle on release. Wine access Magazine believed “Stags Leap turned out an abundant crop of Cabernet Sauvignon that would take Robert Parker's Wine Advocate to its knees”. We will let you know as soon as these wines become available in Farmington.
