A Visit from the Sharon Family Farm at Middlewoods of Farmington

Middlewoods of Farmington residents welcomed a crowd of furry animal friends on Wednesday, May 14th, with the arrival of the mobile petting zoo from the Sharon Family Farm in Tolland. Enjoying a visit to the farm in the comfort of their home, residents had the opportunity to hold and pet a variety of farm animals, including a goat, pig, rabbit, duck, chicken, sheep, donkey, and alpaca. Staff from the Sharon Family Farm introduced the animals by name and provided tips for holding the animals appropriately. Residents were thrilled to have the chance to meet the animals, many of which became quite comfortable in the arms and laps of the older adults, feeling right at home in the community!
