Political Experience:
I have 25 years of political experience on the Farmington Planning and Zoning Commission; 12 years on the board of directors of the Farmington Land Trust and I am a former member of the Farmington Exchange Club.
Why are you running for office?
I am running again because I feel it is my duty to my community to help ensure the responsible development of Farmington. Over the past 25 years I have served our community by maintaining and protecting the inherent beauty and historic nature our great town has to offer.
If elected, what would be your primary areas of focus?
If elected I will continue my work to preserve the town’s historical character, while allowing for responsible development.
What issues or opportunities is the town facing today?
Our State and Towns are facing the major issue of business growth and sustainability.
How would you propose to address them?
Throughout Farmington’s history, businesses and industries have been an important part of the town’s development. Through properly and responsibly developing the town into separate business and residential sections, we have made our town a place where both businesses and residential neighborhoods can co-exist with little to no impact on one-another. Over the past 25 years I have worked to maintain this balance to continue to provide the best environment for both residences and businesses alike. I believe that keeping a healthy business environment in Farmington is the key to helping our community remain stable during these difficult economic times, and it is my belief that we can do this without sacrificing the beautiful environment we have come to love in Farmington.
Anything else you would like to share?
I have been elected consecutively for the past 25 years to the TPZ. The residents of Farmington know me and my family. They also know that my only political goal is to preserve the town and make it a community we can be proud of. If elected, I will continue to do my part to ensure that our town remains one that we can all be proud of.
