The Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival, What You Need To Know

The event is Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Winding Trails Recreation Center in Farmington.

FARMINGTON, CT — Music lovers have a big October Saturday ahead in the form of the seventh annual Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival.

This year's edition takes place on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Winding Trails Recreation Area, 50 Winding Trails Drive, Farmington.

There, a plethora of acoustic performers will pull and pluck strings to delight the eardrums of the most discerning of music buffs.

Expected to perform is "Fireside Collective," a bluegrass band out of Asheville, N.C.; Boston-based "Twisted Pine," a string band; and Mari Black, a noted violinist and fiddler.

Those are the main stage performers, with a side stage also expected to showcase Connecticut-based musicians.

The festival is rain or shine and no pets are allowed.

Tickets are still available at $40 each for adults and $15 for children aged 10-15.
