Ambulance/Vehicle Crash Sends Four To Hospital In Farmington: Police
The overnight accident Monday night resulted in the road being closed for several hours.
FARMINGTON, CT — Four people were injured late Monday night after a two-vehicle crash in Farmington involving a pickup truck and an ambulance.
The Farmington Police Department said the accident was on Farmington Avenue (Route 4) at the off-ramp to Interstate 84 in that area.
Police, in a statement sent out at 11:47 p.m. Monday, said one person was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital via Life Star helicopter.

Meanwhile, police said, three others were taken to area hospitals for reported "minor injuries."
The North Central Regional Accident Reconstruction Squad was investigating the collision and the intersection was closed for several hours overnight.

That area, however, has since been cleared and the roadway opened.
The crash is under investigation and witnesses to the accident are asked to contact the Farmington Police Department at 860-675-2400.
The intersection at Farmington Ave (Rt. 4) and I-84 has fully reopened.
