Farmington UNICO awards scholarships

Farmington UNICO awarded 5 outstanding and deserving students scholarships this year.

Scholarships were rewarded to Sienna Russo, Karolina Kret, Nikki Harris-Stone, and Maya Demcowicz( not in photo) as they graduate from Farmington High School and Waylon Zheng as he graduates from Hall High School.

Farmington UNICO fundraisers include the annual Sal DiMauro Pasta Dinner held on the last Sunday in October and the annual Joe Filomeno Golf Tournament e held in June. Proceeds provide scholarships to local graduates and grants to local community service organizations. Scholarships were presented at the May Farmington UNICO meeting. Pete Pasquale, Carla Martin, Ginny Mugavero and Tom Magro served on the Scholarship Committee.
