FARMINGTON, CT — Residents caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's disease or related forms of dementia will have an opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges during a support group meeting Thursday, June 18, in Farmington.
The Hearts, Hugs & Hope Alzheimer's Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. at Farmington Station Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, 111 Scott Swamp Road.
The group is designed to provide a supportive environment where caregivers can share concerns and personal experiences with others who understand the challenges associated with dementia care.
Participants will also learn strategies aimed at helping them better care for family members living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias.
The support group meets on the third Thursday of each month and is available both in person and through Zoom.
Those planning to attend are asked to contact Katherine Jedynasty, director of Compass Programming at Farmington Station, at kjedynasty@farmingtonslr.com.
