FARMINGTON, CT — Farmington residents looking for a job, considering a career change, or seeking help with their next professional move can connect with employment specialists at the Farmington Library this week.
Representatives from the American Job Center will be at the library Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. to provide information about free employment and career services available to Connecticut residents.
The Farmington Library is located at 6 Monteith Drive.
Visitors can learn about services including job-search assistance, career counseling, career assessments and labor market information.
Representatives can also provide information about training opportunities and assistance navigating employment resources.
American Job Centers are part of Connecticut's workforce development system and offer employment-related services to job seekers.
The event is open to people interested in finding new employment as well as those exploring a career change or looking for guidance on training and other professional opportunities.
Those unable to attend can find information about American Job Center services through the Connecticut Department of Labor.
