Applications are due Sept. 28.

This year's funding priorities include programs supporting seniors; youth and early education; arts and culture; and innovative approaches to critical community needs.

The fund is seeking projects that directly benefit Farmington residents and strengthen the town's well-being, vibrancy, and resilience.

Proposed projects should address a local need, engage or benefit residents, and be feasible within a one-year grant period.

The Farmington Community Fund is part of the Community Funds program at the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation.

Local volunteer residents serve on a committee that reviews applications and recommends grants based on community needs and opportunities.

Organizations of varying sizes are encouraged to apply, as are resident groups that partner with a fiscal sponsor.
