Alzheimer's Programs Planned In Farmington, Simsbury

FARMINGTON/SIMSBURY, CT — Two area senior living communities will host educational programs next week focusing on developments in Alzheimer's testing, treatment, and care.

Riverbend at Farmington and Skybrooke at Simsbury will present the programs in partnership with Pamela Atwood of Atwood Dementia Group.

Organizers said the presentations will cover what Alzheimer's testing can reveal, emerging treatment options and factors families may want to consider when evaluating treatment and care following a diagnosis.

The "Research Update: The Latest in Alzheimer's Testing, Treatment & Care" programs are scheduled for:

• Riverbend at Farmington, 1 Bridgewater Road: Tuesday, Sept. 29, at noon, with lunch served; and Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 8:30 a.m., with breakfast served.
• Skybrooke at Simsbury, 142 Cooper Ave.: Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 4 p.m., with dinner served.

Reservations are requested.

Northbridge Communities operate Riverbend and Skybrooke and offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care services.
