FARMINGTON, CT — Spooky season is upon us and the local library has just the event to get it started this week.
Ghost ships, pirate curses, and mysterious tales from beneath the waves will be the focus of a program Thursday night at the Farmington Library.
The library will host "Pirate Ghost Stories, Shipwrecks, Nautical Tales, and Legends" at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Farmington Library, 6 Monteith Drive.
The presentation will explore nautical myths, legends and histories connected to the region's coasts, according to the library.
Topics will include ghost ships, buried treasures, pirate curses, and deep-sea mysteries.
"Are you brave enough to discover what lurks beneath the waves?" the library said in promoting the event.
