FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

• Sydney Stepeck, from Unionville, a member of the Class of 2018, has been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List at Stonehill College. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

University of New Hampshire, Durham NH

• The following students from Farmington have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the spring 2018 semester: Dana Prisloe, with Highest Honors; Jordan Ungiechajer, with Highest Honors; Jack Brockelman, with High Honors; Rachel Friedland, with Highest Honors; Magdalyne Kucharski, with Highest Honors; Jake Rappaport, with High Honors; and Jordyn Rappaport, with High Honors. Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• At the University of Rhode Island's 132nd Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20, 2018, about 3,300 undergraduate and 750 graduate students became the University's newest alumni. Five graduates from Farmington were: Dalia M. Fredette, Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education and Bachelor of Arts, Political Science Magna Cum Laude; Erin Elizabeth Heston, Bachelor of Science, Nursing Cum Laude; Kamil Kolacz, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management Magna Cum Laude; Allison Rose Solliday, Bachelor of Science, Human Development and Family Studies Summa Cum Laude; and Katie Wilson, Bachelor of Arts, Secondary Education Bachelor of Arts, English Cum Laude.
