Athletes of the Week: Amy Wang '21 and Emily Homiller '19

This week's athletes of the week are Amy Wang '21 from cross country and Emily Homiller '19 from equestrian.

Amy Wang '21 played a crucial role in the cross country teams third place finish this past Saturday at the Gordy Glover Invitational. Wang '21 came in with a time of 24:11, a personal record for her by almost a minute, and in the last 100 meters edged out a Sacred Heart runner, beating her by less than four seconds. Porter's ended up beating Sacred Hear by one point.

Emily Homiller '19 had a great showing at this year's first home show at Avon Valley Show Stables. Homiller '19 earned second place in varsity open equitation on the flat and third place in the varsity open equitation over fences at 2'6" for a total of nine team points. Throughout the season she had demonstrated great leadership qualities and is a great role model to her teammates.
