On Saturday, May 17, varsity badminton players April Li '14 and Cindy Qian '15 competed at the Connecticut Badminton Association Junior Championships, held at the Henry James Middle School in Simsbury, Conn.
April won the Under 18 Girls Single Championship and April and Cindy won the Under 18 Girls Doubles Championship.
During the fall athletic season April and Cindy competed on Porter's varsity badminton team, which completed its season as the undefeated League Champion and Connecticut High School State Tournament Chamipion. Porter's badminton program includes varsity and junior varsity teams and is led by Head Coach Wen-Lin Su and Coach Mizuho Aussicker.
