But the lottery scheduled in Farmington on Thursday, Sept. 14, will play a key role in what election ballots will look like.
That's because this lottery will determine the order of candidates that will be on the Nov. 7, 2023 ballot.

In these highly charged political times, a random lottery is necessary to determine candidate order, though the reasons for such a lottery lie with Connecticut State Statutes.
The proceedings will take place in the Farmington Town Clerk's office at Farmington Town Hall, 1 Monteith Drive, Farmington.
It will be conducted by the Farmington Registrars of Voters office.
