Ballplayer With Farmington Connection Selected by Cincinnati Reds in MLB Draft
The recent transfer from Tunxis Community College was among 11 players with state ties selected in the annual draft.

A Bristol baseball standout who recently transferred from Tunxis Community College in Farmington was selected during the three-day Major League Baseball draft last week.
Matt Blandino, a right-handed pitcher from Bristol Central High School and Central Connecticut University who currently plays for Felician University in New Jersey, was chosen by the Cincinnati Reds in the 19th round with the 558th overall pick.
Blandino was one of 11 players with Connecticut ties who were drafted. The complete list follows:
