Beath '17 Signs with Loyola Maryland

Athletics

Senior Claire Beath will join the Division I soccer program at Loyola University Maryland next year.

Claire signed her national letter of intent at a ceremony held in her honor on Wednesday, February 1. After an introduction by Dean of Athletics Jez McIntosh and remarks by Head Coach Avi Dubnov, Claire expressed gratitude for her parents, teammates, friends, and the Porter's community.

"While Claire's statistics are impressive they do not do a player of Claire's caliber justice," notes Coach Dubnov. "At practice and before games she seems quiet and focused but it is her consistent performances that do the talking. Loyola Maryland is gaining a player who will give her all for her teammates. Congratulations, Claire."

Claire is a two-year member of the varsity soccer team and a star defender. She was an All-State player for two years and All-American and All-New England this year. Porter's varsity soccer team is led by Head Coach Avi Dubnov and Assistant Coach Carrie Begey.
